Early Christmas Presents

Early Christmas Presents
Edward has been walking around this past week
with a permanent plum red lipstick mark atop his furry white head.
I just keep hugging him and planting a kiss right there.
For I will tell you the truth:
even better than writing the book and seeing it published more beautifully than I'd dreamed
is knowing people are loving it.
It just makes me so happy.
Reading the generous posts written by bloggers I adore brings a tear to my eye
and puts an extra spring in my step.
I wonder, can lipstick permanently stain white fur?

Thank you dear Jeanne, Brooke, Helen and Karena!

  1. It sounds like your feet are not touching the ground as you float joyfully around, only pausing to plant kisses. Your book sounds charming.

  2. I can just envision the little red spot on Edward's head, it will probably fade to pink before it's completely gone. So happy to hear your book is so well received...no surprise from this loyal reader. I have it on my wish list for Christmas.

  4. There are moments of perfection in life, when they present themselves one must simply hold still and take it all to the fullest. And nothing is sweeter then to share your joy with Edward and us!
You give the early gifts so generously yourself with your words, thoughts and ways to spread them....
    Thank you, Pamela!
