Dear Pamela, What absolutely lovely images to accompany the lines from Tennyson, a poet who appeals to me greatly. I very much hope that you are enjoying yourself hugely on the 'Island' [although I have no idea where it might be!].
Pamela my Dear, I glory in your enjoyment of the seaside. So sorry I missed your birthday, may your new year be filled with love and all the delights of the sould our world can offer.
Oh Pamela, How wonderful to be on a beach that is SO empty and desolate. Beautiful photographs accompanied by the words of Tennyson. ........ and Eward looks so distinguished, looking out to sea. Have a lovely new week, Pamela. XXXX
Oh Edward! He looks so content with his patch in the world over there. So glad you had a lovely time. :)
And I love Tennyson... my favourite poem is The Lady of Shalott, and my favourite painting is of the same name, by Waterhouse. Can't get enough of those Pre-Raphaelites. And the word verification is 'dentses' - not quite 'Dante' but close!
I love to read your comments! Each and every one! Though I'm always reading your comments, I may not respond in the comment section. If you want to write me directly, you may do so at pamela@pamelaterry.net. Thank you for reading!

ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time!
I love this image.

Oh, I love this. The verse and the pictures. They take my breath away.
ReplyDeletePS: Dog love is a new world to me, as of a few weeks ago. But already, I feel shaken up and in many ways, more whole.
The first time I encountered these lines by Tennyson was in 'What Katy Did Next', by Susan Coolidge!
