Love's Philosophy
by Percy Bysshe Shelley
The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In another's being mingle--
Why not I with thine?
See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;--
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?
Edward and I send our sweetest wishes for a very romantic St. Valentine's Day!!
I love Nature's voice through Shelley in this poem. It all sounds very logical to me!
ReplyDeleteShelly's beautiful words for the weekend of love, Pamela.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to thank you for commenting on my post for Renee's birthday. Often, when you do posts like that, people don't comment so many thanks for your support. XXXX

ReplyDeleteI am so sad. Sometime last year, I used one of the photos you posted as my computer wallpaper and it made me so happy every day when i logged on. My computer got sick and had to be "re-imaged" and it the process the photo was lost.
I love the beautiful art you post -almost as much as your incredible written prose. Now I will be watching every post of the perfect illustration. I'll be looking for the perfect photo. One that can inspire - even when the office is in chaos!
And I want to wish the same to you !!
