I think the world over has such high hopes for Obama. We are hoping he will be able to turn this recession around.
I am watching the live coverage on the BBC from England, and it is so exciting! I think the world is joining in your happiness and pride. A great day indeed. :)
So apt Pamela. I've just watched the Inauguration Ceremony and smiled throughout. How wonderful it was. I loved the little slip Obama made as he was sworn in.
Today I could wish I was American.

Pamela, Childe Hassam is one of my favorite paintings. I have the Flags on the Waldorf lithograph and I love it. Lucky President Obama (and all Presidents) to get to see the Flags painting in the White House. I would have it in my bedroom as Kennedy did or in the Oval Office.
I'm just so glad we didn't get the other guys for another four years. Obama is smarter, more capable, and still just one man.
