What a great face! The summer wouldn't be so bad if it didn't get so hot! When those heat indexes sit in the low 100s it is miserable. Poor Edward...but not to worry, it won't be long before the leaves begin to fall.
That's so cute. You know, when i go out in my garden early in the morning you feel Autumn is on its way..! The spiders are taken over my garden. Its so beautiful.Sunlight in a spiderweb with dew drops. It won't be long.. I don't like dutch summers,my favorite season is Autumn!
Poor poppet! Has he ever had a haircut? Molly hates them!
I can feel autumn in the air, and it's nice, also knowing we've usually got a good three months of fair weather here, where early autumn often seems to be the best time.
I feel for you Edward! That fur coat is perfect on you, but it would feel a little stifling in the heat! Fall is coming, and I for one will cheer when it arrives!
You're such a cutie! Tanner the Slobber Dog sends his love. And a big sniff!
Edward, Lizzie(the Sheltie)shares your pain. Fortunately, we're in for a bit of a cool down over the weekend here in Kentucky...It will be a nice reminder that fall is just around the corner:-)....
This too shall pass, Edward. Come up here for 100 inches of snow in February, and you will be glad of your fur coat!! Terra sends her condolences - she has short hair and still has to rest in the shade when we go for a walk. She recommends a roll in the soft, cool, grass under a tree
Dee Dee - Edward appreciates your interest in him and he thinks you would so enjoy having a friend such as himself! He is, from what we can tell, about 50-50 Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and Chow Chow. Lovely mixture, we think! Big, furry, sweet and kind!
I have a big fluffy white long haired cat that is thinking the same thing Edward, but he does enjoy the birds coming to the bird feeder this time of the year, so that is a compensation. :-)
Oh .. dont listen to those folks whose kids are headed back to school ... here in NYC its still summer with the worst still to come .. August has dog days, Edward, you'd feel right at home ...
What a lovely expression Edward has, he's such a poppet :) Maybe he could visit Britain if he wants a cool summer. Suncream and an umbrella are essential in a girl's handbag :)
Oh, poor old Edward - I know just how he feels. Just been catching up, and found your last post about inspiration particuarly inspiring. Put me in mind of a fortune cookie I had recently, with the motto "The ultimate inspiration is the deadline" - which often seems to do the trick for me. Lovely, thoughtful blog.
And here in South Africa spring is already in the air: the jasmine is blooming early this year and the clivias are in orange bud in my garden. Before we know summer will be here again in full African blast. Galahad says to tell Ed that his recommendation for colling off is to take a regular dip in the pool. I reminded Gal that maybe Ed doesn't have a pool but he retorted that surely every dog has his own swimming pool especially one with a title! Pleased you enjoyed Paris with me! Love Eleanor
Pamela, what a cute photo of Edward! You should come to Maine - it's cold and wet here. My dog loves it, but I miss the sun. Interesting thoughts on inspiration in your post below.
oh, poor Edward - I hope things cool down for you soon - my puss-cats feel exactly the same in the heat - not that we've had much of it over here this year and Autumn feels as if it is already on its way.

"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
"I'm not sure Edward. The UK is still waiting for one to arrive. Could you perhaps bark and scare it over?"

Edward- its rain, rain and more rain here. How I long for hot sunny days, sat in my garden with a long cool drink. Well Dreams cost nothing!!!!
