Cool drink by my side. Ipod happily shuffling. Vivaldi and Petula Clark. Nat, Ella and and Bach. Cell phone volume down, music volume up. Way up. Feeling removed from responsibility, unreachable, free.
Arriving home to three smiling furry faces? Priceless.
How handsome is Edward! I am sure that he and Gus would get along, Gus calls several large dogs friend... of course if they drink from his bowl .. he's likely not to invite them back ...

I've always enjoyed driving alone on long distance journeys and I love the illustration for this post - if only cars were still as elegant as the ones of the late 20s and 30s.

I had quite a long drive to work each morning to downtown Tampa, Florida...the drive was congested at times, but part of the drive was by causeway, over the bay. Mornings of gorgeous sunrise and evenings coming home of beautiful sunsets out over the water...I know the feeling you described...
