On Holiday

To one who has been too long in city pent,
"Tis very sweet to look into the fair
And open face of heaven, - to breathe a prayer
Full in the smile of the blue firmament.
John Keats

  1. Would that I could find an empty beach like that up here Pamela - if it is a nice day (ie not raining) then all of our beaches are crowded and I am afraid that does not amount to 'the fair and open face of heaven.'

  4. I think you are probably at the coast Pamela. I am hoping the weather won't be disappointing with the chance of storms from Isaac!

Enjoy your vacation - they are always over too soon!

  10. I wish I could click my heels and be sucked into that photo. I remember crossing the Mackinac bridge in UP Michigan once and wishing I had a ring for my finger with a stone the color of that sea and sky so I could take a piece of it with me.
